Privacy Policy

Your privacy matters to us. This page explains what information Toolarsh collects, how it's used, and the choices you have.

Last updated: June 19, 2026

01

Overview

Toolarsh provides free, browser-based utilities for developers and everyday tasks — calculators, generators, converters, and downloaders. Most tools run entirely in your browser and never send your input to our servers. This policy explains the limited data we do collect, why, and how it's handled.

Where a tool processes your file or text entirely client-side (in your browser), that content is never transmitted to or stored on our servers.

02

Information we collect

We try to collect as little as possible. The categories below cover everything we gather across the site.

Category Examples Source
Usage data Pages visited, tool usage counts, session duration Automatically, via analytics
Device data Browser type, OS, screen size, approximate location Automatically, via your browser
Contact details Name, email address, message content Provided by you via our contact form
Newsletter data Email address Provided by you, opt-in only

What we don't collect

  • We do not require account creation or login for any tool
  • We do not store the files, text, or images you process with our client-side tools
  • We do not collect payment information, since all tools are free
03

How we use your data

Any information we do collect is used strictly to operate, maintain, and improve Toolarsh. Specifically:

  • To operate the site — keeping tools fast, available, and free of abuse
  • To respond to you — replying to messages sent through our contact form
  • To improve our tools — understanding which tools are most used so we can prioritize fixes and new features
  • To send updates — only if you've opted into our newsletter, and only about new tools or major changes

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.

04

Cookies & tracking

We use a small number of cookies and similar technologies to keep the site functional and to understand aggregate usage patterns.

  • Essential cookies — required for basic site functionality, such as remembering your cookie preferences
  • Analytics cookies — help us understand which tools are popular and where users encounter friction
  • Preference cookies — remember settings like your last-used unit in a converter

You can disable cookies in your browser settings at any time. Doing so may affect how certain preference-based features behave, but all tools will continue to function.

05

Third-party services

Some tools, like our downloaders, may interact with third-party platforms (for example, fetching publicly available video metadata). We do not control how those platforms handle data on their end, and we encourage you to review their respective privacy policies.

We may also use third-party analytics and email-delivery providers to operate the newsletter and understand site traffic. These providers are bound by their own privacy and data-protection terms.

06

Data retention

Contact form submissions are retained only as long as needed to resolve your inquiry, typically no longer than 12 months. Newsletter email addresses are retained until you unsubscribe. Aggregated, anonymized usage analytics may be retained indefinitely since they cannot be tied back to any individual.

07

Your rights & choices

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • Ask us to correct or delete that data
  • Withdraw consent for newsletter communications at any time, via the unsubscribe link in any email
  • Object to certain types of processing, such as analytics tracking

To exercise any of these rights, reach out using the contact details at the bottom of this page.

08

Children's privacy

Toolarsh is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can remove it promptly.

09

Policy changes

We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal and regulatory reasons. We'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page whenever changes are made. Continued use of Toolarsh after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
